World Program of Action for Youth Review
The World Program of Action for Youth (WPAY) is the UN's major policy paper dealing with youth. On October 6th, the UN General Assembly will devote two plenary meetings to review the situation of young people that result from the implementation of the WPAY 10 years after its adoption - and YOU are invited to give input! What has your government, what has civil society, done to better the lives of young people since 1995? Your input is crucial to help assess the success of the WPAY in the ten priority areas, which are: education, employment, hunger and poverty, health, the environment, drug abuse, juvenile delinquency, leisure-time activities, girls and young women and participation. Please take the time to fill out our survey.

Global Gallery Contest - "Vision 2015: Your Future"
Imagine a world where poverty is halved, boys and girls everywhere go to school, gender disparities are eliminated, child mortality is reduced, and maternal health is improved. Imagine HIV/AIDS is halted and its spreading reversed, environmental resources are preserved and sustainable development becomes an everyday practice. All this achieved by the world's countries together, working unanimously for a better future. Is this just a daydream? No, this is the future envisioned by the United Nations and all its member states at the Millennium Summit in 2000, where the Millennium Development Goals were born.
As such, The Global Gallery, in partnership with Art4Development (Art4Development.net) and the Millennium Campaign, is proud to present: "Vision 2015: Your Future." What is your vision for the world in 2015? What will your country be like if the MDGs are realized? These are just some of the questions that you can address in your image. It's your future, your vision to question and answer in an image that can be about the world or about yourself - your hopes, your fears, anxieties, challenges, goals, and of course, your dreams.
Concursul se termina pe 31 mai - incrie-te azi! Du-te la: http://gallery.takingitglobal.org/contest
