Introducere

Aproape fiecare tara, din toate continentele, este afectata de criza globala a refugiatilor. Se estimeaza ca exista 11,9 milioane de refugiati si persoane care cer azil si 23,6 milioane de persoane evacuate pe plan intern in toata lumea. Numerele sunt cel putin uimitoare. Aceasta este o urgenta care cere solutii de la comunitatea internationala. Dezradacinati din caminele lor, refugiatii si cei care cauta azil trebuie sa infrunte numeroase incercari, de la incalcarea drepturilor omului la lipsa de ajutor umanitar. Defilarea nesfarsita de numere si stiri poate fi covarsitoare.

The agency is mandated to lead and co-ordinate international action to protect refugees and resolve refugee problems worldwide. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) is a relief and human development agency, providing education, healthcare, social services and emergency aid to over four million refugees living in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, Jordan, Lebanon and the Syrian Arab republic. In the forty years since, USCR has worked for refugee protection and assistance in all regions of the world.
